We are looking for a dental nurse for our pediatric dental clinic

who has a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents.

At our clinic, we teach students and treat children and adolescents in general pediatric dentistry. Additionally, we are also a referral center for patients in need of specialized pediatric dental care. We focus particularly on psychological treatment of dental anxiety and children with chronic illnesses and disabilities. We have a close collaboration with the pediatric dentistry unit at the Department of Dentistry. Our team consists of about thirty specialists, ST and general dentists, dental nurses, dental hygienists, and psychologists.

Your role

Working as a dental nurse with us differs from the traditional dental nurse role. You will be involved in three different areas: specialist care, education, and research.

In specialist care, you will work at the clinic with standard dental nurse tasks, including assistance in anesthesia, surgery, and various forms of sedation. You will also have your own patient treatment focusing on prophylaxis and onboarding.

In the education part, you will be involved in training new dentists and dental hygienists.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Dental nurse diploma
• Experience working with pediatric dentistry
• Experience assisting and caring for children during surgery
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language

Meritorious:

• Experience working with medically at-risk patients
• Experience with patients suffering from dental anxiety
• Experience in anesthesia care

Since the position involves working with children and adolescents, this requires a presentation of a clean criminal record before an offered employment.
